Chassis

A custom build MAN TGM 13:290 euro6 from 2022 with 290HP is the platform on which this outstanding expedition truck is build. First drive as a complete expedition truck was in November 2023, it has only about 8500 km’s on the clock. The truck is customer specific factory designed with an over dimensioned chassis (TGM 18.290) that’s capable of far bigger loads then the registered max load. Constructively it has a 13 ton rear axle with 11,5 ton suspension, 9 ton front axle with 7,5 ton suspension, all with over dimensioned drum brakes. So it is build as a 18t model of the TGM. On registration the front axle can have 6.300kg, the rear axle 8.600kg and the max load is 14.000kg.

Of course it comes with 4WD and differential locks front, mid and rear, automatic or manual switching gears and a retarder engine brake system. It has the rugged Michelin 14.00R20 tires with 10 bolt design, available in shops world wide if needed. There is a spare tire, easily mounted on the hydraulic motorbike carrier. The bike carrier can easily lift 500 kg’s. It is build to safely take with you a large (300kg) motorbike and two heavy e-bikes. Or you can set it up for two e-bikes with an extra optional big storage box. There are connections for maintaining your motorbike batteries and charging your e-bikes.
A Vetter air pressure system with a controller and two inflatable bags, each capable of lifting at least 18 tons, comes in handy when changing a tire, being stuck off road or leveling the truck. To be able to conquer any terrain there is a tire inflation system with connections next to each tire, it has durable spiral hoses and easy click on connectors for a maximum flow. All pressurized from the vehicle’s onboard air compressor.

On the front you will find a heavy duty Runva EWB 25/11.000kg ip67 cordless controlled winch, extra protected by a design casing. The complete winch package is superbly installed recessed in the chassis and front bumper. With aluminium black powder coated sand ramps, a snatch block and ropes you will be capable of pulling this truck out of any position it’s stuck in. 

On the roof you will find a custom designed black powder coated aluminium roof rack. It has several large water sealed storage boxes on it and a removable lifting arm. This way you could be able to store an inflatable rib boat and electrical motor in the storages boxes. There are sturdy stairs on both sides for easy roof access. You are still able to access the inside storage compartments, but only from within the cabin underneath the couch. 

There are three steel storage boxes mounted on the chassis and two mounted to the living unit. The chassis and it’s add ons are all RAL9005 matte black powder coated for a united and though look. A black powder coated slide in stairs with handrail is secured to the underside of the living unit, giving comfortable easy access. It hangs by itself so the terrain on which you park has no influence on it’s stability or angle. You will also find two 300L original MAN dieseltanks fitted, with a 24v pump to transfer diesel from the back up to the main tank. Having 600 liters on board, you have a range of 1800 to 3300 km’s depending on the terrain. The truck has a great fuel consumption of 5,5L to 100km’s!

outdoor comfort

In one of the storage boxes there is an outside kitchen fitted for the perfect outdoor experience. A slide out powder coated stainless steel and bamboo housing in which you’ll find a multifunctional grill and an induction plate. Both electrical powered so no fire risk. A foldable bamboo bench top gives you extra workspace. When cooking or relaxing outside a removable canopy cover provides shelter. It is made out of marine quality durable materials and spanning the entire width of the living unit measuring 560×270 cm’s. You can be seated in the Crespo lounge set and bamboo folding table set on a big weather resistant rug and enjoy the outdoors. 

OUTDOOR LIGHTS

There is an extended system of work lights. The roof rack has five high quality Osram led bars when driving in the dark, on the chassis there are four Osram flood lights. All controllable in the drivers cabin. The left and right sides of the living unit have four Osram led bars installed and the motorbike carrier has another two Osram flood lights. These are controlled by a switch in the drivers cabin, by a switch on the outside control board, by a switch on the inside control board or by an alarm relay that is remotely controllable. This way you are able to set the entire surroundings of where you are parked in a bright light. This can come in handy when being inside the living unit and you hear alarming noises, when coming back from a walk and you aren’t able to see the vehicle or it’s surroundings and when driving in the dark trying to manoeuvre off road. All the Osram led bars also have a dimmed led line of light, so the truck dimensions are good visible and it looks awesome.

Garage

For maximum storage and easy access a slide out rack is fitted in the garage. Four large and six medium storage boxes, all with lid’s and handles, can be easily taken out of the rack to store essentials dust and sand free. There is still plenty of room for other items in the garage, reachable thru the other side hatch. By means of automated switches led lights in the garage turn on and off when opening and closing the hatches.
